Fashion Shoot: SALE SALE SALE

Getting there
Shot at 20mm – 1/1000s – f/4.0 – ISO 400

An entire “fashion story”, as Vida’s editor (Sarah) likes to call them, just in time for Fashion Friday. They were shot for Vida’s February issue. I couldn’t show them off when I shot them, but now that the magazine is out (and they’re finishing off the March issue, once again with a set of photos I took), I can finally publish them myself.

The concept, quite naturally, was a shopper making the best of the sales. The biggest challenge we were facing was the rapidly declining natural light. We wanted to avoid using flash as much as possible because it would have changed the colours too much. It would also have reduced homogeneity in the set. We had to relent for the last shot, which is why I’m not too happy about it. They needed it and therefore they used it though.

Photography by me.
