Today I went out for an impromptu photowalk with my brother (the wife joined us half-way through). I was sitting at my desk working but could not sit inside while there was lovely weather outside waiting for us.
I called my brother and we decided to head to Sliema, the sea-front city in Malta where anyone who wants to show off flocks to on a Saturday morning. We met a couple of friends over there and started our “walk” off by having a German sausage and a pint, then set off on our way to snap away. I was only carrying my camera and one lens (the 17-55 f2.8). Even though it would have been a great occasion to get more hours behind my old, Russian-built, Jupiter-6, I was not really prepared to carry an extra 1.5Kg of metal and glass around with me.
My brother was trying out is brand new manual focus Voigtlaender 40mm f1.4 lens on his Sony NEX-5N.
As one does, we then ended the day with another pint.
