Went to see a new (or rather very old) lens to add to my collection today. Still very undecided about it, but after I was done from seeing the lens (and trying it out) I took a walk along the promenade in Msida (Malta).
These old fishing boats were too tempting to resist, and there was a large slab of concrete behind them begging to be used for support. I bracketed (+/- 2 stops) and then merged all three in Photomatix.
I loved the “levels” created by this picture – starting at the bottom of the shot you have the older boats, then you move to the slightly more modern little boat and finally across the creek you can see the larger (and far more luxurious) boats in the marina.
